Hybrid CMOS AF II
This system uses phase detection AF to quickly zero in on subjects much more rapidly than the conventional AF method of contrast detection when shooting in Live View mode. Hybrid CMOS AF II phase detection area of approximately 80% of the focusing frame allows users to quickly track and maintain focus on subjects even if they are not in the center of the frame, for very rapid point-and-shoot performance.

2 shots are taken simultaneously when users use image creation filters, 1 shot is with filter/s applied, the other, without the filter/s applied. The extra shot serves as a backup or can be used as a template to apply image creation filters at a later time

Users can also set "fast-forward" (5x, 10x and 20x faster) to give the appearance of miniature models moving quickly. In this mode, no audio is recorded.
